President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune chairs Council of Ministers meeting.(APS, 22/09/2025)

ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defence Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired Sunday a meeting of the Council of Ministers, the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.

"President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and minister of National Defence, is currently chairing a meeting of the Council of Ministers," the statement said.

"The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers today. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Republic welcomed the new members of the Government and wished them every success in fulfilling their noble missions. He then gave the floor to the Prime Minister, who thanked him for the trust placed in him and affirmed his commitment to implementing the roadmap outlined by the President of the Republic for the next stage, which essentially consists of remaining at the service of the citizen and promoting participatory democracy.

The President of the Republic then gave the Government the following instructions, directives, and guidelines:

He emphasized the need to relaunch the work of the Government, effectively and efficiently, each in their own area of expertise, and through field action for the management of public affairs.

Learning lessons from past experiences and moving forward based on These approaches have demonstrated their effectiveness and efficiency for the benefit of citizens.

- He emphasized that Algeria, which is steadily moving forward thanks to the efforts of its people, needs combined efforts and full coordination among members of the Government to ensure comprehensive immunity in all sectors and gain credibility with public opinion by providing solutions that strengthen the internal front.

- The need to place citizens and their concerns at the center of priorities in action plans with a view to providing lasting and definitive solutions.

- The President of the Republic instructed the Government to carry out the missions entrusted to it with great rigor.

- The President of the Republic emphasized that Algeria has not managed according to an austerity approach, but has adopted intelligent management, which is fully in line with the presidential project to raise Algeria to the rank of emerging countries, through the achievement of quality socio-economic development.

- The President of the Republic urged the Government to ensure prior coordination with the Prime Minister, as the essential link in government action.

After providing the new Government with initial guidance, the President of the Republic ordered the preparation of sectoral presentations and action plans, which will be presented at upcoming Council of Ministers meetings.

At the end of the meeting, the Council of Ministers approved decisions regarding appointments and terminations of senior government positions.
